About Our Sanctuary
Our goal is to provide a sanctuary where people of all ages can build compassion, confidence, and connection through horses, nature, and each other.
A Beginning
It all began with Daisy. Born into my arms during a snowstorm in December 2007, she arrived with a heart-shaped mark on her face and a quiet love in her eyes. Four months later, our world changed when Daisy was diagnosed with cerebellar abiotrophy, a neurological condition that meant she would never be ridden.
I was told to sell her. Others suggested putting her down. But when I looked into Daisy’s eyes, I saw none of the limitations others saw. I saw a spirit filled with courage, trust, and an extraordinary capacity to love.
Daisy taught me that a horse’s worth is not measured by what it can carry, how fast it can run, or what it can accomplish for us. Her value was simply in the profound connection she offered to those willing to see her.
Daisy's story planted the seed for a sanctuary where horses like her are not defined by what they cannot do, but celebrated for all they have to give—a place where horses and humans can heal, connect, and discover their own untapped potential.
